First and foremost, I support Gavin Newsom and Proposition 50. This proposition is a response to Donald Trump’s demand to redistrict Texas and rig the 2026 Congressional Elections. Under the new redistricting proposal, I no longer live in the new CA 48 congressional boundaries. Consequently, I have decided to end my campaign for Congress, CA 48.
However, I do live in the CA State Senate District 40 boundaries and decided to run for CA State Senate 40. My platform is the same: Affordable Housing, Water and Energy. I will work to create a more self-sufficient California, since we may not be able rely on support from Washington DC.
Housing: 25% of California’s single family homes are owned by multinational corporations. I support Assemblymember Alex Lee’s Bill, AB 2584 to limit corporate ownership of single family homes for use as rentals or investment.
Energy: In 2024, the California energy grid was powered by 100% clean energy for 219 days! I will be the strongest proponent to continue our efforts for a clean and affordable energy based economy.
Healthcare: Given that Donald Trump and the Republicans are dismantling Medicaid, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act, we in California must become more self sufficient in health care coverage, and medical research. I am a cancer survivor; the photo is myself (black sweatshirt) and my sister Karen celebrating another cancer free day. Consequently, I will be focused on cancer treatment and research. Cancer is the number 1 cause of death of San Diego County residents.
We must oppose political violence in all forms. Let’s promote a California state government that embraces civility, science and bipartisanship. The result? Peace and prosperity for Californians! Please donate, we can take back the California Dream.
